10:30 - 11:30 Marketing for Community Connections Panel - Three urban farmers will share innovative ways they've found to fund educational farms & gardens, youth programs and food systems work in Detroit, Lansing and Ypsilanti. Learn from Clarence Price of Pingree Farms in Detroit, Egypt Mapes-Krohn of Allen Neighborhood Center in Lansing and Julius Buzzard from Growing Hope in Ypsilanti.  

11:30 - Noon U-Pick Kim Bayer will discuss best practices for U-Pick farm operations. Join us if you would like to welcome customers onto your farm to harvest their own produce, from traditional U-Pick items like strawberries to a range of organic vegetables.
