Vicki has passionately worked with organic, urban, beginning and small holder farmers for over 25 years in Michigan, Pennsylvania, California, Malawi and Niger. She believes that if all farmers get to know their soil's health, quality and chemical make-up they can grow great crops and animals. Her contributions to farmers include curriculum for beginning farmers, soil health decision trees for resource-poor farmers, on farm research explorations, field research WITH farmers and of course contributions to extension through educational program delivery and extension bulletins and fact sheets. During this process she has learned probably more than she has shared from farmers. Just for fun, she grows paste tomatoes, onions and garlic to supply her family with enough spaghetti sauce each year.
