Dr. Amanda Gevens is Chair and Professor of the University of Wisconsin Madison Department of Plant Pathology. She is also the administrative director of the Wisconsin Seed Potato Certification Program. Dr. Gevens' research program is thoroughly integrated with her extension program which emphasizes disease concerns of potato and vegetable crops in production and post-harvest spaces. Dr. Gevens emphasizes communication in her engagement with producers and students and is excited to mentor a next generation of integrated and pragmatic plant pathologists.
