Katie is the sixth-generation to work on her family's apple farm. She earned a degree in Spanish with minors in Business and Latin American Studies from Grand Valley State University and la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. After graduating, Katie managed the development of Great Lakes Ag Labor Services, a full-service H-2A agency. She now helps manage her family's farm alongside her husband, Manuel, and her parents, and continues her work in ag labor through her involvement with USApple, Michigan Farm Bureau and the National Council of Ag Employers.
