Dr. Laura Ingwell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Entomology at Purdue University. She is an Extension Specialist focusing on integrated pest management in horticultural crops. Dr. Ingwell's program focuses on pest management in protected culture, specifically high tunnels. She also works to provide resources for organic, small, and urban farmers. Her research interests are rooted in sustainable farming practices and include the integration of black soldier flies on specialty crop farms, maximizing biological control, and building climate resilient farms. Some focal crops that Dr. Ingwell works with include cucurbits, tomatoes, sweet corn, leafy greens and strawberries.
