Description
* Flowers in the City: Growing and Running an Urban Flower Farm
What does it take to turn a small city lot into a successful flower farm? Drawing from her experience at Twig End Farm in Flint, Michigan, Janie Case Beuthin will share how she produces an impressive amount of flowers on less than one-eighth of an acre while navigating the opportunities and realities of farming in an urban neighborhood. Participants will leave with practical production ideas and a fresh perspective on how community connections and local markets can help a small urban farm thrive.
