Justin Sean is the founder and head mushroom farmer at Great Lakes Mushroom Company, a family-owned Michigan mushroom farm and education center he started in 2020. With more than five years of hands-on cultivation experience, Justin has grown the company from a small home-growing operation into a Michigan business offering gourmet and functional mushrooms, mushroom coffee, teas, tinctures, and educational programs.

Through his Hands-On Workshop Series, Justin makes mushroom education approachable and practical. Participants can learn home cultivation, cloning and lab techniques, how to make mushroom-based products, and how to cook with gourmet mushrooms. His teaching combines real-world experience with a focus on sustainability, curiosity, and skills people can use at home.
